Next Episode – February 13, 2009

For years we have been exposed to television talk shows that depict 2 different extremes: the conservative and the radical. The public has been exposed to everything from the raunchiness of Jerry Springer and Howard Stern to the benevolence of Ellen Degeneres and Oprah Winfrey. If we would all take a second to be honest, most people have a little of each inside of us, and even if we do not, we at least wished we could sneak a peak into the lives of the “other side.” Bill O’Reilly may be too biased, Tyra Banks may be a tad bourgeois, and the ladies of the view may be simply TOO MUCH. So ask yourself a question…is there ANYWHERE for you to tune to find people that really represents YOU!! Outside of the barber shop or nail salon, where can you go to listen to the views of those in your SAME situation instead of those of a Hollywood host? Where can you go to express your opinion before those who literally walk in your shoes?

FM has gotten too censored. You can’t hear through the AM static. And XM may be too expensive. You may not agree with the views of Fox or CNN, but that’s all you had….UNTIL NOW!! “On Tha Spot” was created “for the people, by the people.” But do not get it twisted, we do not live by a Constitution. Instead our panelists and live studio audience have both chosen to live by a code: “If you can’t stand the heat…give up your seat?” In fact, there is probably only ONE thing we all have in common: We are REAL PEOPLE facing REAL ISSUES with REAL TALK!! Sit close to your monitors folks….This could be something special!!

  1. I loved it!! “real people, real issues, real talk” YES!!!! This meeting of the minds was on-it, a very diverse group which is usually not the case when topics like this arise in conversations. the atmosphere was amazing b/c this is actually how it looks when “we” gather.- the setting looked and felt comfortable through the screen. then you had folks drinking, lol. This was like XM “Live from the Living Room,” lol. I wish i could have been there or a least seen the entire show b/c i was sitting here nodding my head and making inputs even though cant nobody hear me. Desirae (“Boots” lol-yall so silly), Mr. White (he was hilarious), April, and Marc made some very good points.

This is what America needs to see b/c CNN & Fox News’ debates never tell our side, and when they do have someone to represent us its always consevative and politically correct. I loved it Beane and February is here so when and where do i login, lol.

    love ya,
    sharon

  2. Great show on politics… but guess what, “politics is a show.”

    Long story short:

America is a company that consists of the president which is the c.e.o and the board members are actually overseas. It’s the actual board members that make the decisions..not the PEOPLE (goyim/cattle) or the PRESIDENT of America. we have prison camps thoughout america.., and Obama isn’t speaking on that. As a matter of fact, he isn’t speaking on anything of true substance. Hooray for our first Black President. Definitely a historical moment but don’t be surprised when you find out that Obama is a black Dick Cheney… a Puppet / Pacifier strategically placed in position to knock down the dominoes that have been set up by those in true Power. World War III

  3. “On Tha Spot”, is a place to come when you want to listen, vent, and discuss issues that you find interesting, but didn’t know others had the same thoughts and opinions as you. Here you can let you hair down, roll your sleeves up, grab a chair, and ROLL!! Come on in and enjoy yourself. See you at the next forum!

  4. I personally think this is going to be the HOTTEST forum, show, website, webisode, or WHATEVER that many of us have seen in a LLONNGGGG TIME!!! Stay Tuned….”This could be something special!”

  5. Fantastic preview into a very positive forum….about time! Love the diversity with challenging topics, great panelist. We need more of this, definitely see you at the next forum.

  6. I enjoy a good forum. My many years of travel make me appreciate a good chat, debate, panel whatever. I look forward to the next forum so I can share my input !

  7. The forum on “Black Relationships” was great! I’m really glad I attended. There were many diverse views on various topics (you could tell who was married, who was single, who “want” to be married and who “want” to be single…and who just had too much alcohol). I was enlightened, which caused me to reflect on my relationship with my husband and what’s “really” important in our marriage. I appreciated how everyone was so transparent…it may have been a result of the “drinking” (LOL), but never-the-less, the truth was told:>). If I had to sum up this topic, I would say communication, honesty, respect, and compromise is the key to a successful relationship. As long as both individuals are on one accord with these things, it doesn’t matter what any outside party thinks. Brian was right when he said, “This could be something special!”
    Peace and Love,
    Katrina

  8. I believe it is always a wonderful thing when people of different backgrounds and ethnicities can come together and express one’s own opinion.
This talk show is refreshing in the sense of “keeping it real” and having fun.
I look forward to seeing more shows and watching this company grow.

    One love
    Nina Nicole

  9. I’ve had the opportunity to participate in both On Tha Spot forums and they have been unforgettable. It’s a blessing to have assembled with such a diverse and intelligent people. Brian, this forum you’ve created is definitely something meaningful. It has allowed for the honest exchange of ideas, the transparency Katrina wrote about (above). A transparency that is refreshing in a time of pure slanted media.

I absolutely love the rule “disagree to disagree” as it requires us to go beyond the surface of someone’s point of view and tap into how they even came up with that opinion in the first place. Then once thats out on the table a person can still find themselves met with opposition (sometimes extreme opposition, lol). Which brings growth to all participating.

    Til next time,
    Al

  10. I am proud of the group of intellectual people that you have chosen to represent “real talk”. It was outstanding. They were very informative in a very informal environment. Hope more people will be exposed to the site!!! Keep up the good work that you are doing. Keep it going!!!!

    Wanting more,
    Tam

  12. I thought the shows were great. I think you’re well on the way to something larger and more inclusive (hint: live on the television brother!). I looked forward to coming shows and hopefully will be able to participate, even though I am a bit older.
    MAY GOD BLESS YOUR PROGRESS!
